After leaving Napoli (Naples) we headed for Bari and had a day trip down to Lecce in the "heel" of Italy.
A selection of tools and parts used to make some of the sculptures seen below. One of the features these sculptures made from papier mache is that they are partially burnt.
From Bari it was time to head north up the Adriatic coast to Bologna, Parma and Verona.

After returning to Bari from our day out in Lecce it was time to find a good place to have dinner. I don't normally comment about restaurants but I did make the following diary entry:
"..............found the Pizzeria Fra' Bo on Corso Vittorio Emanuele.
The Canoli (Scilian ) dessert was out of this world!"
